Autumn Layout

All the products i used are available from Thompsons craft supplies.

Using the 13arts grungy wall papers-Damaged for my back ground.

I toyed with adding to to it but the paper was so nice on its own it had everything it needed so i decided to leave it alone.

I added some of the cork, a bit to mount my photo on one corner and then a torn piece as my base.

I used another paper from the 13arts paper range this time from the Summer Rhapsody set– Rose rhapsody, i fussy cut some of the roses, they matched my back ground sheet perfectly.

I added some mdf leaves and my title from the creative embellishments range also from Louise, all painted in Fabrika Decoru shabby velour paints in vintage green, i inked the title a little with black.

I layered all my pieces around my photo using 3d foam pads and 3d gel and then added some paper flowers and some sequins here and there around my central design.

Lastly i splattered using watered down prima metallique paint-steampunk copper, i covered my photo while i did my splattering.

Mixed Media Cards – Grace

This week I was in need of some cards to send to people, and it’s been ages since I’ve made any mixed media cards – so I thought why not use my beautiful design team kit to make some?

I based the designs around the 13 Arts Summer Rhapsody paper pad, and used lots of goodies from my kit, and from previous kits, to create the backgrounds and to embellish.

For the background I used Fabrika Decoru Shabby Velour Paint, and Fabrika Decoru Chameleon Paint. I also added splatters with Fabrika Decoru Chalk Spray, and Distress Oxide Spray in Victorian Velvet.

The fabrics, trim,  and flowers are all available in kits – fabrics and trim as part of lucky dip kits, and flowers as part of the flower mixes available in the store.

To see the full process of how I made these, you can watch the accompanying YouTube video here.

Remember the now notebook

I am addicted to notebooks, i just love making them, this is a ready made notebook that i have decorated the cover.

using some of my latest kit from Thompsons craft supplies

Using the 13arts Grungy walls papers and some other items from Louise’s shop, the leaf stencil, the distress ink sprays and micro beads.

Vintage reverse canvas

Hello Everybody,

Today’s project has been inspired by Louise’s reverse canvas from Telford. I couldn’t make a canvas but I loved it so here is my take on it.

I have used beautiful papers from 13arts collection- summer raphsody.

I used wooden square and after a coat of white gesso I decided to use the back of it with two windows…

I filled the two windows with papers. I added texture to frame by dubbing texture paste on to it with a back of my pallet knife .

When dry, added some colour using a powder from fabrika decoru
I also use 13art stencil to add some texture to my windows panels.

I used handcasted resins from prima moulds and coloured them with gold metallic paint from Fabrika decoru. I also used mdf frames from the same company and covered them with white gesso.

I started building my composition in the middle. I used some cardboard to balance resins and mdf to create an even surface.

I stained the edges of my papers elements with distress oxide, and also distress the frame with the same vintage photo oxides ..

I added some gauze, sisal and lace to my composition, finally I splatter the project with white gesso and added a sentiment.

Hope you like my project …
I do love mixing all materials and enjoying creating something unique. The best things is I can get all those product in one shop.
Have a great week and keep crafting…

Shabby Chic Wedding Card

Hello everybody,

Hope you are having a good carfty October…

I am …

Today I want to share with you my DL card in a box for a special wedding occasion.

I used beautiful paper from AB papers Shabby love Symphony…

I started with cover the base of my card and box with same sheet of paper from that pad. I prepared chipboards flourish from creative embellishments… I used chameleon metalic from Fabrika Decoru. As my chipboard was dark (brown) my paint came out as more gold than pink. You will get more pink shade on white base… but that’s the magic of those paints…

I fussy cut lots of flowers and leaves from the same paper collection… I stained the edges using distress oxides with sponge tool.

I added some texture to the background using prima stencil and white texture paste…

The cake stamps were coloured with prima water colour paints… The cake stamp is from my stash as it matched the team of my project perfectly I just had to use it…

When I had all embellishments ready I started layering…

Please remember to lift some of your paper embellishments using left over chipboard bits or cardboard…

I added the sentiment and personalised the card with names and date later on…

Hope you enjoyed my project…

Have a good day,

Crafty hugs

13Arts Summer Rhapsody Layout – Grace

This week I have my first project with my October kit – if you’d like to see what items I got, you can watch the kit share video here.

I created this shabby style layout using the 13Arts Summer Rhapsody paper pack, Maremi’s Small Art Stencil, and Fabrika Decoru Chalk Paste.

The ephemera/embellishments are from my stash – I mostly chose black and white, and pink items to match the theme of the background paper. The stencilling was done with Embellishment mousse and Prima Paper Paste. I also added Distress Oxide in Worn Lipstick to the background with the packaging technique.

I added lots of tiny word/phrase stickers, splatters, and black and white sequins for the final details. And finished off with my title, which is from the Cocoa Vanilla Unforgettable collection.

If you’d like to see the full process video, you can watch the accompanying video on my YouTube channel, here.
